On January 15, American people celebrate Martin Luther King´s birthday. Martin Luther King fought for racial equality between black and white people. He was an important leader in the African-American civil rights movement in the US and he was an icon of this movement around the world too, because he used nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
